Being an Entrepreneur requires that you lead. Leading requires the ability to influence others. People are more easily lead when they respect their leader. Leadership comes with responsibilities,foremost of all, that one does not abuse their power.

 

The Guanzi describes 4 guiding principles for proper Leaders:

  • li - propriety (correctness in behaviour and morals; fitness; the quality of being appropriate)
  • yi - righteousness (adhering to generally acccepted moral principles)
  • lian - integrity (consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcome)
  • chi - a sense of shame (the feeling of guilt when one fails to adhere to cultural or social values)
