Erik Bowman

Passionate about helping people pursue their business dreams, Erik Bowman co-founded the Guanzi Institute for Entrepreneurial and Management studies (Guanzi) in 2006. Guanzi’s mission is to provide training for students and existing business owners to provide the skills they need in order to create and grow their business.

As a self-described 'serial entrepreneur', Erik is a pioneer and creator at his core. Launching his first venture selling flowers door-to-door as a child, this entrepreneurial spirit still drives him today in his ongoing exploration of opportunities.

Erik has always been intrigued by the unfamiliar and enjoys applying his creativity and inspiration from his formative years to what he does today. He reflects upon how working at a young age has given him so many opportunities to gain first-hand business experience and inspiration from so many different people.

Over the past 20 plus years Erik has held senior and executive level positions in the technology field and today pursues his passion as an ardent business management consultant. Erik has worked with numerous clients in a wide array of industries throughout his professional career.

Always seeing opportunity to improve and help others think big, he is a results-oriented, strategic thinker with proactive, creative and analytical capabilities.

Erik is a visionary and applies his skills to create unique, forward-thinking business solutions. He has always set himself apart in his superior ability to combine business savvy with creativity and using clear communication to apply business solutions at any level of an organization.

Over the past 11 years, Erik has founded several multimedia and communications companies, including Talent-Exchange.com - a co-branded multimedia talent portfolio service launched in 2001; Vertical Answer, LLC - a Hosted PBX and Telephony service provider launched in 2003; ProviderOffice.com - an appointment scheduling and call center solution for healthcare providers launched in 2003; PublicityEngine.com - an XML/RSS based press release service that featured syndication in most popular feed formats; and PeopleScreening.com – a video resume hosting service for individuals and a private-labeled online career center for businesses and recruiters launched in 2006.

As an industry veteran, in 1997 Erik founded and developed iMessenger.com; one of the first online social networking sites.

In 2009, Erik founded Link Gateway, Inc. which is a unique advertising-based social bookmarking service and Whiz Bang Zoom Labs which provides social media marketing software.
